Sherrardspark Wood Wardens Sherrardspark Wood is a 75 hectare ancient woodland just across the B197 from Ayot Green. It was designated a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’ (SSSI) in 1986 and is considered an outstanding example of sessile oak and hornbeam woodland. The Wood Wardens maintain the wood and run an interesting programme of walks during the year
